With Windows XP Home SP3, as System administrator and Guest, the Writer and Calc (I tried only these) starts immediately with this error, and fully unusable, the programs are not start. At 3.6.0.4 I tried it only as System administrator, at 3.6.0.1 and 3.6.0.2 I tried it with Guest so. At now, I did not tried it as a normal user, but the 2 later 3.6. RC versions are running as a normal user.
Did you install any LO specific extensions? Did you install any specific font? What's your Java version? Could you try again with a brand new LO profile (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) ? (backup yours, it could help).
(In reply to comment #1) > Did you install any LO specific extensions? > Did you install any specific font? No, no, no, absolutely. > What's your Java version? 1.7.5. System: fully refreshed Windows XP Home SP3 Hungarian, 32 bit IBM PC compatible computer, 1 GB of ECC memory. In order: 3.5.4 installed (without uninstall of previous versions). 3.5.4 unistalled, the unistaller did not delete de LibreOffice directory from "F:\Program Files". Installed: 3.6.0.1-2-4, without unistall of previous RC version. The error happened in all of 3 RC versions. > Could you try again with a brand new LO profile If 3.5.6. will be released, I will uninstall 3.6.0.4 and delete the LibreOffice directory from "F:\Program Files", after it I will install 3.5.6 and in future 3.5.7 and about the new year 3.6.unknown. So I will try it with a new LibreOffice profile, but with 3.5.6.

I tried with 3.5.6.2. Before Installation, I deleted the dirctory of LibreOffie from "F:\Program Files", and from "F:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data", at all users, including "Default user", "All users", "Guest", and the user called "System administrator" (this is the name of the user, not only the range, this appear only when Windows is in Recued mode). I tried Writer, as a system administrator (here, this is not the name of the user, but the range). It started, I set my settings: macros from 2 .txt file (Standard/Module1), my hotkeys from a .bin file, my own default template, and my own template directory, this contain 2 .ott, 1 .odt, and some other files with other extensions, not for LibreOffice. I closed the writer and I tried to start it again: Error code 5.
Created attachment 65641 [details] My default template, I set this as default.
Created attachment 65642 [details] My other template in my own template directory
Created attachment 65643 [details] My hotkeys
Created attachment 65644 [details] My macros, the beginning part (64 K characters: notepad/clipboard maximum size)
Created attachment 65645 [details] My macros, ending part
Created attachment 65646 [details] A non-template file in my default template dirctory (hotkeys) Files in my default template directory: ott: deault, book odt, bin: keycodes txt: macros0, macros1 normal.dot Directories: Others, Tex: extensions in these: odt, ods, txt, tex, pdf, xls, doc.
Formerly, I set the ACLs (Access Control Lists) on my directories, but for my own template library, for all libraries in the hierarchy from C:\ to public\public\doc, what is my template library: Group "System Administrators" has fully accessibily rights, The only normal user also has these, User "Guest" has only reading and listing rights. As a normal user, Writer is managing. I will try it as a Guest soon.
I tried again. At now, LibreOffice 3.5.6.2 manages perfectly, at all the 3 users (a System administrator, a normal user, and the user called Guest).
Ok then I put RESOLVED/WORKSFORME. If it happens again, don't hesitate to reopen and give the steps + config specs (ACL for example) to reproduce the pb.
(In reply to comment #14) At 3.6.0.1-2-4, this happened always, for example as a Guest, LibreOffice was fully unuseable, not started, even I tried to start it first time as a Guest (after installation, never used as a Guest). The error code was C0000417 (INVALID_CRUNTIME_PARAMETER). At 3.5.6.2, the error code was 5.
It became quite complicate, in comment 13, you said it's ok with 3.5.6.2 then in comment 15, you said "error 5". Does it work or not with 3.5.6.2? Does it work or not with last 3.6?
(In reply to comment #16) 3.5.6.2: in past: error code 5 (always as a Guest, except 1 time as system administrator, this was the first time). At now: manages. 3.6.0.4: never managed as a Guest, always managed as a normal user, 1 or 2 times managed as system administrator. I unistalled it, and I deleted the installer files. As a normal user, always manages all versions.
Since I don't know what to think about all this, I prefer reopening this tracker. Rainer: any idea?
Andras, Tor, do you have any ideas? If I understand it correctly, it works for normal user. So, it is somehow specific to the Guest environment => I think that it is not that common => it should not block the release => slightly lowering the severity
I have never used Guest accounts on Windows.
I don't see independent confirmation here by QA - Petr and Julien both commented but I don't see any reproduction. Moving to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks all.
To Zoltán (original reporter): is this problem still actual for you? I'm asking because of XP's EOL. Does it happen with Win 7 or 8? Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
(In reply to Beluga from comment #22) New versions manage.
