Description allencch 2012-08-16 00:53:42 UTC
Problem description:
After using load styles, any objects created by draw function are not selectable.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create an empty document, namely A.
2. Save it.
3. Create another document, namely B.
4. Using "Styles and Formatting" > "Load Styles...", choose the document A
5. Use the "Draw Functions", create anything.
6. Click anywhere to deselect the object.
7. Try to click the object again, but failed.

Current behavior:
Cannot select the objects any more, thus cannot delete or edit or move.

Expected behavior:
Can select, edit, delete, move the draw objects.

Confirmed with Version 4.0.0.0.beta1 (Build ID: 87906242e87d3ddb2ba9827818f2d1416d80cc7).

[Reproducible] with Server Installation of "LibreOffice 3.3.3 German UI/Locale [OOO330m19 (Build:301) tag libreoffice-3.3.3.1] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)

I additionally inserted a step 3.1 and created a smiley. This smiley will stay accessible after step 6, but all draw elements (text boxes, outlines, ...) can't be accessed (selected) after creation. You have to close and reopen the document to get access to the new elements.

That was ok with OOo 3.1.1, but already broken in OOo 3.4.0. So I expect that problem is inherited from OOo.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.3.5 or later): https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

Thank you for your help!
