Description John R. Sowden 2013-02-12 20:24:04 UTC
Feaure Request (not a bug):
I know this is a bad time, since 4.0 was just released, but improvement is an ongoing process.

For the 'recent documents' menu selection under 'file', it would be nice to:
1) allow us to set the number of recent documents, under tools/options.
2) allow us, in the recent menu, to right click and set certain files to 'permanent' so
they will not fifo off the stack. An asterisk (blue?) could act as a visual flag.

Thank you for your consideration.

Another person on the users mailing list suggested that the list be user specific, as in Linux, so others cannot see the names of the files that are being reviewed.

Thanks for reporting!

I think this'll indeed be an useful enhancement. I can't find any duplicates for this one, therefore I mark it as 'enhancement' and set status to NEW.

Kind regards,
Joren

This could be implemented as part of Recently Used Files list enhancement in bug 61174, point 3.

I copied Samuel to this bug. He is currently working on other features related to recent files.

(Samuel, please feel free to remove yourself again, in case you are not interested to be copied in here)

As a workaround you could use the HistoryMaster extension which seems to work well with LibreOffice: http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/history-master
