Created attachment 78954 [details] ODT version this issue is the twin of the similar report I filed in OOo bug tracker in 2010. https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=111635 inherithed from OOo, still present in LibO 4.0.2 I replicate the bug report here hoping that LibO devs will fix it. .............................................. STEPS TO REPRODUCE - open the attached " issue_ODT_version.odt " file - the font size of the line between the frame and the this black line is 2 pixels (see screenshot n°1) - save it as .doc - close the .doc file (I have also attached an already saved version " issue_DOC_version.doc " file) - reopen the .doc file - the font size of that line now is 12 pixels (see screenshot n° 2) it seems that the problem affects only the line after the grey frame, the other layout elements have nothing to do with this bug. if you just copy the frame and the line below in a new .odt file and you save as .doc the font size of the line between still changes from 2 pixels to 12 after saving and reopening the doc file

-------------------- "copy & paste" of some useful comments from OOo bug tracker -------------------- eric.savary 2010-05-16 12:19:51 UTC @MRU: happens only after tables when the font size of the paragraph is hard formatted. -------------------- michael.ruess 2010-05-17 13:39:40 UTC MRU->HBRINKM: the 2pt paragraph following the table will revert to style's setting of 12pt when exporting. Maybe this has the same root cause as issue 56648. --------------------
Hi tommy27, just add a sa
Hi tommy27, Add only one space to your paragraph. What do you get? Have a nice day, Jacques Guilleron
@Jacques Guilleron WOW!!! adding a blank space to the "2 pixel" line seems to workaround the issue. the resulting exported DOC file keeps "2 pixel" width and doesn't change to "12 pixel" like I reported before. so, would you please tell me why adding such a blank space solves the issue?
Probably it's unusual to have an empty paragraph with such a border. I will use rather a table to do the same thing and play with borders and spacing to content. That give also one object to manage. Have a nice day, Jacques Guilleron
your workaround solves the "exporting to DOC" bug, so I'll modify my own template accordingly however this is a buggy behaviour because the same empty paragraph is saved without any change in pixel width if I save the document in ODT format. the 2 --> 12 pixel change happens just with ODT --> DOC conversion or with direct DOC saving. IMHO, the font size should not be changed by saving in DOC but should keep the same size the user has initially set by the way I'm setting status as NEW since this issue has been confirmed also in old OOo releases from which the bug is inherited.
just wanted to add that PDF export is not affected by this bug. it seems that the 2 --> 12 font size change only affects the DOC format.
bug still present in 4.0.5 final bug not present anymore in 4.1.1 final changing status as RESOLVED WFM
