Are you using TDF builds or builds from the Ubuntu ppa?

tested again, worksforme (and about >16000 others who have downloaded that package, I guess). Whats the output of: find /usr/lib/libreoffice/program -name '*.so'|xargs ldd|grep solve ? Also do you have any other fancy PPAs installed, that might disturb this?
I don't see any. liblpsolve55.so => not found
Problem solved, as of now. In Ubuntu this lib is provided by Calc (and libreoffice-dbg, but it's a monster occupying over 2GB). Installing Calc is a temporary workaround.
