Description Kumāra 2013-12-30 06:25:30 UTC
I've experienced lost of registrymodifications.xcu due to crash or power failure, thus lots of user settings are lost. (I'm guessing that it's loaded into memory all the time LO is loaded.)

The same has happen before to files of other programs. However, some of them create backups on their own. (One of them makes 5!) Thus recovery is possible and easy.

So, I'd like to request automatic backup (perhaps versioning is a better description) for registrymodifications.xcu whenever changes are made to it. Preferably at least 2 versions. They can be named registrymodifications.xcu.001 and registrymodifications.xcu.002.

I change version field to first LibO release ever since this feature was never present.

I agree it would be an useful feature
