Created attachment 93462 [details] Tiny spreadsheet working Problem description: Inusual resources(RAM, CPU) uses in formating fonts, produce corrupted xls, xlsx files. Calc not response. My Desktop: Operating system is Ubuntu LTS 12.04.1 kernel 3.8.0-35-generic. CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz × 4 RAM: 8GB. Java: java version "1.7.0_51" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_51-b13) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode) Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a file (xlsx, xls, ods). 2. Select all for formating fonts. 3. CPU uses to 100%... Calc not response or is very slow. 4. Files output are corrupted(xlsx, xls), opened in others OS. Current behavior: Not response. Expected behavior: Formating regular area.
Hi Luis, thanks for the report. Just to be sure: You do - Ctrl+A - Ctrl+1 or Select font (toolbar) ? Apart from that it's not the most handy way to format, for me (in 4.2.0.2) that works... Best, Cor
@ Luis, thanks for your mail in private. You send two xlsx-files. I can format the cells - will send a file to you. Still saving after changing all cells formatting takes long... So, what to do :) ?
Thanks @ Cor my computer literally freeze when try change the format. Don't work, not get any information... :'( thanks Luis Balam.
If your UI language is not English and it's very slow when formatting, then this bug must be related to Bug 70857.
