Created attachment 94998 [details] Screenshot of the copy/paste bug The Graph from excel does not copy/paste correctly into Libreoffice Draw. It will copy the graph ( x axis & y axis & labels but does not copy/paste the actual graphed data ) Appears to be bug in libreoffice relating how to handle the graphed data from the clipboard. Copy / pasting a graph works fine in Open Office, MS Word etc. I should also note that if you save the document in open office, then open in libreoffice. The graph shows fine and can be copy/pasted properly.
Hi Mat, can you please attach the problematic LO file so this can be reproduced and looked into? Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest LO release? Currently 4.2.1: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/ Please also try resetting your user profile and let us know if that helps: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME. Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.
Issue still present. Downloaded 4.2.1.1 - No change Deleted user profile - No change Same problem exists across multiple computers around the office.
I cannot reproduce this with 4.2.2.1 rc Ubuntu 13.10 GNOME Does this happen with every document for you? What is your OS? Please attach a spreadsheet that you're using as well as a draw document that has the messed up chart. Marking as NEEDINFO - once you attach and answer questions please mark as UNCONFIRMED. Thanks
Created attachment 95284 [details] Excel 2013 Spreadsheet Graph from Excel 2013 does not copy / paste correctly into Libre Office Draw. Windows 7 (64 Bit) Excel 2013 ( Home & Business 2013 ) Libre Office 4.2.2.1
Created attachment 95287 [details] Excel spreadsheet
Excel spreadsheet attached. Windows 7 (64 bit) Using Excel 2013 Pasting the graph into a fresh LO Draw file. If possible, try Excel 2013 to reproduce the issue.
Interesting - I can't even open that file with 4.2.2.1 nor with 4.3 master
Created attachment 95477 [details] Spreadsheet I've uploaded another sample that opens in LO. The orange line graph does not copy/paste correctly. The blue/white graph from the same spreadsheet does copy/paste correctly. You need to copy the graph from Excel 2013 to the clipboard and paste it into LO to see the issue, yet open office draw works fine.
Hi Mat, If, in Excel, you save your files as .ods, you can open those files in LO 4.2.2.1. At least, you have a way to work with thosee files. Like Joel, I cannot open your xlsx Excel 2013 Spreadsheet, with LO 4.2.2.1 nor with LO 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 7122ef19847b26529ed1d5bad40df869e91a8495 TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2014-03-06_00:38:21 & Windows 7 Home Premium Cannot Copy directly from Excel to Draw, but, surprisingly, if you copy graphs and paste them in Word, you can this time copy correctly to Draw. I set status to New, Kind regards, Jacques
