Problem description:
I run the latest Trisquel with LibreOffice 4.2.3.3 from the Ubuntu PPA.

I discovered the issue with LibreOffice 3.4 I think, the one that comes bundled with Trisquel. I have updated from the PPA and the problem persists.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Run LibreOffice

Current behavior:
Items from the menus are invisible. They do work, but it is painful to try to guess each option.

Expected behavior:
Menus should be visible.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.2.3.3 rc

This was an issue in Ubuntu as well, and it has been long fixed. Not sure how frequently Trisquel updates its packages, but try updating freetype and fontconfig to more recent versions.
