Please be more specific - there is new Firefox version every 6 weeks, so which version of FF and PDF.js you are using? Also I would not benchmark anything against PDF.js without checking other viewers. Additionally please define slower or some time - a few seconds or minutes?

PDF.js on Nightly 32.0a1 (2014-05-22)

If the above PDF 78366bd2-6286-4bf0-a2c1-0aa5491466e6.pdf is saved on local drive. Then PDF.js takes approx. 2 to 4 seconds to load/render that PDF file.
when LO takes more than a minute on the same PC.

In LO user see the progress bar changing for approx. first 9 seconds, reaching 2/3 length. Then it waits for 50 to 60 seconds, to continue seeing any change in the progress bar.
