How to reproduce:
1) Install LO 4.2.3 release for Mac OS X x86_64 (64bit version)
2) Go to Preferences>Online update section and click to Check now and then click on "Download…" button.

Current state:
Default browser open page "http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?type=mac-x86&lang=en&version=4.2.4"
…link to x86 (32bit) download page.

Wanted state:
Go to page "http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?type=mac-x86_64&version=4.2.4&lang=en"
…link to x86_64 (64bit) download page.

@Frantisek : is this still the case ? My 4.3.2.2 installation seems to be ok

– LO 4.3.0.4 (Build ID: 62ad5818884a2fc2e5780dd45466868d41009ec0)
– LO 4.3.1.2 (Build ID: 958349dc3b25111dbca392fbc281a05559ef6848)

Unfortunately LO does not offer me an update :-(

Is Check Update function broken in 4.3.x branch for OS X x86_64?

Quite possibly, it was deactivated.
