Saving a text document as Winword 97 .doc format causes creating a .doc file with same size as the .odt file has. Writer then is unable to open the saved file and shows an error message like "reading error, this is not an Winword 97 file". Writer 3.5 build 413 is doing well.

Version 3.6 is old and not supported anymore. Please try with one of the latest versions (4.2/4.3).
