While in the styles and formatting dialog, the right-click context menu gives you easy access create a new, modify and delete a style, but no easy access to duplicate one. It isnt a problem when you are in a style category which lets you inherit from another style, but when for example you are in page styles list and i want to have a duplicate copy of 'Default Style', it isnt easy.

Bug 41316 has been already filled for the case of page styles.

That bug goes into hierarchical parent-child relationships support for page styles, which would also be a great addition.

Yes, but it think they are related: it is possible to duplicate styles of all styles that allow to be hierarchical.

No doubt that they are related, though by hierarchy the child style only has to store the difference between it and the parent and with non-hierarchy it stores all the style settings. :D
