Description Camille Bissuel 2017-03-06 15:23:29 UTC
Hi,

I'm using Antergos, an Arch based distribution to draw with Krita 3.1.2 on a Wacom Cintiq 27 QHD.

I updated this morning to Xorg server 1.19.2, happy to fix bug 99358 (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99358), but this new version is breaking the Art pen rotation support : brushes are not rotating at all.

If I downgrade to 1.19.1, it works again.
My brushes to test : http://nylnook.com/en/blog/krita-brushes-pack-v2/

Now, I'm stuck between a crashing Xorg version and a new one without rotation support... which is essential in my workflow.

I you need any log, please let me know... !

many thanks in advance,
Camille

which version of xf86-input-wacom do you use?

Reason I'm asking is because xserver-1.19.2 contains a fix to avoid the xf86-input-wacom from crashing the server by sending data to clients from the input thread, so you may also need the fix for xf86-input-wacom, i.e.

Hi Olivier, and thanks for the answer !

I'm using xf86-input-wacom 0.34... Should I try to use this wacom patch ? If yes, can you link me some How-to ?

Cheers

Best would be to try the current git code for xf86-input-wacom.

Failing that, you'd have to wait for a new release of xf86-input-wacom with the required fixes.

Just compiled xf86-input-wacom from git and updated again to Xorg-server 1.19.2, rebooted, and it's solved !
Many thanks Olivier for the guidance !
