Description Shawn Starr 2017-03-09 20:02:26 UTC
AMDGPU used to respect rebooting after hibernation, now when you specify this, it performs writing pages to disk then freezes.

If I perform a hard power off then back on, hibernation will resume correctly.

Please test for 'reboot' when using /sys/power/disk

It's not the amdgpu driver's responsibility to perform the reboot. It's possible that an amdgpu bug somehow prevents the reboot from occurring though. Does this problem not happen when the amdgpu driver is blacklisted?

This can be closed, its been working for several kernel versions.
