MythTV prefers multiples of 16 for creating its Xv surfaces, which results in it attempting to create an Xv surface of 1920x1088. The driver for this card (XGI Volari XG40) reports a maximum XvImage size of 1920x1080. Simply bumping IMAGE_MAX_HEIGHT_315 in sis_video.h from 1080 to 1088 results in functional playback. Can attach patch if so desired, but its only a one-line change...
