Trying to reproduce issue in order to get more information. (In reply to Elizabeth from comment #1) > Trying to reproduce issue in order to get more information. I tried to reproduce with the following configuration: -- Software kernel version : 4.10.0-19-generic x86_64 os version : Ubuntu 17.04 zesty kernel driver : i915 mesa : 17.0.3 xorg-xserver : 1.19.3 -- Hardware motherboard id : NUC7i5BNB cpu information : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7260U CPU @ 2.20GHz gpu card : Intel Corporation Device 5926 (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) memory ram : 15.56 GB -- Firmware dmc fw loaded : yes dmc version : 1.1 At the beginning I had trouble with video HD and 4K stuttering with the native video player but I tried with other program (banshee) and the problem stopped. I tried again with a fresh install but instead of installing new player, I installed gstream from terminal and the stuttering problem stopped. Thanks. (In reply to Elizabeth from comment #1) > Trying to reproduce issue in order to get more information. Good afternoon, Since I wasn't able to reproduce the issue, could you please be so kind to share dmesg with drm.debug=0xe on grub from boot to the problem, and if possible a image or mini video showing the stuttering. Thank you. It's likely that this issue is caused by LSPCON support missing in the upstream i915 driver and in Ubuntu 17.04. Work is underway to implement this feature in the driver. Hello, Please share the dmesg logs with drm.debug=0xe, so that we can analyze if this is related to LSPCON. Also, 4k support via LSPCON support for RGB888 color format is already available since a long time, its the YCBCR420 output support which is WIP. - Shashank First of all. Sorry about spam. This is mass update for our bugs. Sorry if you feel this annoying but with this trying to understand if bug still valid or not. If bug investigation still in progress, please ignore this and I apologize! If you think this is not anymore valid, please comment to the bug that can be closed. If you haven't tested with our latest pre-upstream tree(drm-tip), can you do that also to see if issue is valid there still and if you cannot see issue there, please comment to the bug. Closing, please re-open if still occurs. |
