Definitely not a Mesa bug. Okay. Sorry and thanks for reassigning. Raik, please add drm.debug=14 module parameter, and attach dmesg from boot to the problem. (And please do *attach*, filling comments with data like in comment #0 just makes the bugs hard to follow.) Libin, any ideas? Based on my knowledge, DTS-HD (HBR audio) is not supported on Intel platform. Hema team is working on the HBR audio. We didn't test the DP-HDMI for multiple channel. Anyway, it should be OK. I'm just trying to send multi-channel audio to the receiver (plain PCM, not any bitstream pass-through). Playing a test file with 5 channels plus LFE just gets the front left/right (and the receiver sees plain stereo audio). I'm attaching the requested dmesg with drm.debug=14. Created attachment 131666 [details]
dmesg
add Jeeja, who is working on the audio driver for KBL. Any news? This issue is really annoying. Okay, I may be conflating some bugs here, but HD audio over LSPCON is problematic. Marking as dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 101583 *** More likely dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98797 *** I don't believe this is a duplicate of either of those bugs. The problem I am reporting has nothing to do with digital bitstream pass-through (that seems to work, at least for some format combinations like basic DD5.1). The other report is of getting no audio, and that's not the case here either. My problem is that I can't see more than two channels of "regular" audio (not digital pass through). The device just shows up with two channels, not the 5.1 that the receiver provides. (In reply to Chris Adams from comment #11) > I don't believe this is a duplicate of either of those bugs. Okay. Both of those bugs now have fixes or candidate fixes, please see if they help your case or not. Thanks. First of all. Sorry about spam. This is mass update for our bugs. Sorry if you feel this annoying but with this trying to understand if bug still valid or not. If bug investigation still in progress, please ignore this and I apologize! If you think this is not anymore valid, please comment to the bug that can be closed. If you haven't tested with our latest pre-upstream tree(drm-tip), can you do that also to see if issue is valid there still and if you cannot see issue there, please comment to the bug. Closing, please re-open if still occurs. |
