Hi, Could you provide more information about the hardware of your laptops. And you can try to add drm.debug=0xe to your kernel command line to get more logs about drm to see which part get wrong. Thanks Xiuli With a newer Fedora kernel, 4.11.3-200 and 4.11.3-202, the freeze is gone, i.e clinfo doesn't freeze the desktop, and beignet seems to work fine. If I should provide the debug info anyway please tell me. I have saved them. Thanks a lot, Manfred Hi If the problem has gone then there may be something wrong with kernel, and we may have no time to bisect a kernel problem. Then maybe you can use the kenrel with no problem and if have meet any problem like this welcome to give us the reproduce info as well as the drm logs. Created attachment 131544 [details] Shows messages from /var/log/messages for both systems hogwart and phoenix Two differen laptops: - both Fedora 25 with kernel 4.10.17-200 - beignet 1.3.0.4.fc25 - both usind Intel graphics adapter, and driver i915 After having installed beignet and running clinfo the system hangs: keyboard, mouse both dead. I have attached the error messages from /var/log/messages from both systems. I have no idea, if the error is in the kernel, in the i915 driver or in beignet. -- Manfred
