I've seen similar problems also with Debian Stretch (not Jessie) and was able to fix it by disabling SNA (default) with UXA (old) Acceleration. This was with a Mobile Broadwell. Cloud you try this... Create a file say 20-intel.conf and put in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d directory in Debian Stretch: Section "Device" Identifier "intel" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" "uxa" EndSection Restart your DisplayManager and try to reproduce. -- GitLab Migration Automatic Message -- This bug has been migrated to freedesktop.org's GitLab instance and has been closed from further activity.
