X server consistently crashes with black screen and a cross mouse cursor when the monitors (n=2, attached via display port) are turned off at login (desktop manager [DM]) screen. In the past, this behavior would replicate with KDE, however it was fixed at some point and is not the case anymore. I can never maintain a running X server by turning off the monitors at DM login screen. I always have to kill the X server by Ctrl-Alt_backspace to be able to use the computer locally. However, remote login to X server remains possible via ssh, rdp and/or vnc.

I am using 4.9.34-1-MANJARO kernel, xorg-server 1.19.3-2, sddm 0.14.0-2, linux4-nvidia 1:375.66-8. I am more than happy to provide more information with specified commands.
