Description Simon McVittie 2017-07-28 18:00:28 UTC
I think we should consider a 1.12.0 stable branch somewhat soon, in particular before we land the containers code (Bug #101354, Bug #100344) which is large and potentially destabilizing. Fedora has been shipping 1.11.x for 3 stable releases already (!) and could go back to shipping an actual stable release. Assuming nothing happens on this before 24th August (this is unlikely, my August is going to be fairly crazy), this will hit after the Ubuntu 17.10 Debian import freeze but in plenty of time before Ubuntu 18.04 LTS freezes, and with a very generous amount of time before Debian 10 freezes (approximately 1 year out of sync with Ubuntu). Comments from other distro users and maintainers welcome.

I'm in the process of releasing 1.11.22, which is also labelled 1.12.0rc1.

I've created a dbus-1.12 branch. It will follow master until either 1.12.0 is released or we want to merge something that is unsuitable for 1.12, whichever comes first.

Fixed in 1.12.0, oddly enough :-)
