When having multiple items in pavucontrol we can scroll through the list using the mouse wheel. Unfortunately it is painful because as soon as the mouse cursor is hovering a list item the mouse wheel spin is applied to the volume control instead of allowing me to continue scrolling the list. So scrolling gets in stuck and volume control gets changed unwanted.

It would be nice if we could scroll through the list using the mouse wheel without changing items volume level, so that I can scroll fast to my desired list item and use the mouse pointer to precisely change the volume level.

When we would need to left click a list item before the mouse wheel usage is applied to the volume control to change the volume level then this would also be nice. Using a right click to release the selection.

Best regards,
