Description Cole 2007-03-23 12:59:38 UTC
OpenSUSE 10.2 (up to date patches)

I have a Nvidia FX 5500. If I launch an application (Firefox in this case) it usually takes a couple of seconds or so on the GNOME desktop before it becomes visible. If prior to the app becoming visible, I use the Ctrl-Alt and mouse to rotate the desktop so you can see the desktop cube top, left and right sides; when the application does show the whole cube side where the app will be shown is momentarily changed to the whole screen view, before it changes back and the app becomes visible. i.e. the screen displays the desktop cube and one side of the cube also displays the desktop cube. Hope you understand. It appears to recreate everytime.

Regards

Is this still happening?

What kernel version do you have?

What DRI drivers are you using?

This was reported over 4 years ago so I no longer have the hardware or software to try and replicate this.
I guess this issue can be closed as theres not really any point looking into the problem further after this amount of time. thanks anyway.
