I believe this could already be fixed in 1.6.12, released 1 month ago. You should ping Ubuntu so that they upgrade the MM 1.6.x they're shipping. Keeping it open until confirmed. These are the patches I assume fix this problem: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/ModemManager/ModemManager/commit/?h=mm-1-6&id=6c1c3405c68bc86c873f0bae6595c3917358f530 https://cgit.freedesktop.org/ModemManager/ModemManager/commit/?h=mm-1-6&id=5230ee4241042ca201075178d42fca8d89152753 Just compiled 1.6.12. It is working. |

Created attachment 136965 [details] Debug Logs After upgrading Ubuntu from 16.04 to 17.10 (ModemManager 1.4.12 to 1.6.8) my Gobi 2000 UMTS Modem does not connect anymore. I attached the debug log of the installed version 1.6.8 and of the successful connect after downgrading the package back to 1.4.12. I already found, that now the gobi plugin is away and the generic plugin is used. But no connection is possible neither by using NetworkManager nor by mmcli.
