If I don't unplug my 1024*768 projector from DVI head #2, nouveau refuses to do 1680*1050 on DVI head #1 (even though nouveau can not drive head #2)

The closed driver can drive head #2 and do 1680*1050 on DVI head #1 at the same time

The current default driver path is pretty dumb/bios dependent, the randr-1.2 codepath should be better.
