This is a bug in the desktop environment you're using, rather than Wayland itself. For example, here is the bug for GNOME to fix it: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=754110 If you're using GNOME, please follow up on that bug; if you're using another Wayland server, please contact the authors of that server and ask them to do what's described in that GNOME bug report.
