Description podonak 2018-05-17 13:15:08 UTC
Hi,
My graphics card model is [AMD/ATI] RV620/M82 [Mobility Radeon HD 3470][1002:95c4].Since upgrade to kernel version 4.15 my computer has been unable to start gnome desktop (I use Debian). It boots until the point "Started user manager", the cursor appears, then gray screen shows up and nothing happens after that. The option radeon.modeset=0 helps but it causes low resolution, and slow work when rendering images and videos. I've tried follwing debian images: the stable version (kernel 4.9.0-6) boots smoothly, the testing version (kernel 4.15.0-2 and kernel 4.16) does not start the desktop. I would appreciate your help a lot.
