Several commits in July 2017 added color glyph support but implemented it only for FreeType. Please implement it for Quartz.

Yes, please implement. If it helps, here is an explanation of the consequence—for me, as well as other possible like users—of color glyphs not being supporting in Quartz.

Using GnuCash, whenever an Emoji is inserted for a journal entry in the description, note, or account note fields, a blank space is displayed instead. Nevertheless, the code point is correctly stored, as I’ve verified that searches for a specific Emoji character that has been used correctly retrieve entries bearing the character.
