Hi there,
I was just working on https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14451 when I saw that the maximum size of thumnails is defined as 256x256 pixel:
https://specifications.freedesktop.org/thumbnail-spec/thumbnail-spec-latest.html#DIRECTORY
This size is nice to scroll through photos on my 1680x1050 display ... however on a 4k display, using max resultion it most likely will look like "normal" size on my display.
So I wonder if it would be a good idea to add the possibility to have "very-large", e.g. 512x512 pixel thumbnails.

What do you think on it ?

+1 for this. Notwithstanding file manager devs may make the point that a file manager isn't supposed to be a picture browser, hopefully such a small tweak is allowed since it adds such useful functionality.
