Description Aurelien PROVIN 2007-04-23 08:50:18 UTC
I have an ATI radeon IGP 320M (mobility U1) card which works well with
radeon driver. 2d and 3d accelerations are working. But there is a problem
with Blender since a update on my debian SID of libgl1-mesa-dri and
libgl1-mesa-glx from 6.5.1 to 6.5.2. I use dri driver (not fglrx). There is no error/warning message in log. I have had a similar problem for some years :
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5601

My version of blender is 2.42a.

I'm having the same problem with the ati driver and a
ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M7 LW [Radeon Mobility 7500] card.

I'm using the same versions as Aurelien in Debian Sid.

With the 7.0.1 version, blender crash :

guessing 'blender-bin' == '/usr/bin/blender-bin'
Compiled with Python version 2.4.4.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
/usr/bin/blender: line 46: 8958 Segmentation fault blender-bin "$@"

If blender still segfaults with latest drm and Mesa, could you produce a backtrace, Aurelien?
Comment 7 Aurelien PROVIN 2007-11-07 12:10:28 UTC
The bug is different between 6.5.2 and 7.0.1 release. So I have opened a new bug report (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12164) which is solved.

I think we can close this bug report.

Many thanks

Closing this bug reopen if you still experience same issue with recent mesa.
