Checked the latest CI results and this issue doesn't seem to occur. Can someone in CI team confirm this.

This looks sporadic issue caused due to either crc captured at wrong time (missing vblanks) or there is some underrun happened causing crc to go off.
In a general scenario from this test perspective, I feel we are ok and this test
works well. Will investigate a bit more to get to the root cause of this problem.

This issue doesn't seem to occur now, as was expected. CTM tests for pre ICL platforms are working fine. There may be sporadic failures if updates are not happening within a vblank or crc capture goes awry (but not due to this test in particular). I feel Ville's vblank worker series will help avoid these situation as well.

I would recommend to close this test since this particular test is working fine.
We will have issues on ICL+ platforms but that should be a separate issue.

@Uma, Reproduction rate of this issue on CI_DRM runs is once in 45.73 runs. Last seen on CI_DRM_6783_full. So we wait till CI_DRM_7240 and close if doesn't appear till then. 

Assigning to this issue to myself to monitor the issue and dropping the priority for now.
