Description Brian Beardall 2007-05-16 10:55:32 UTC
When running fullscreen opengl apps there is a potential hard-lock with the r300 driver when another window overlays another window on top of fullscreen window. This can occur when a notification occurs in gnome such as a call coming in with ekiga. The bug is most easily triggered when playing Warcraft III with wine and switching out to another program and then back. Upon switching back the computer freezes, but this can occur when any program that is set to display on top of all windows such as with ekiga. This bug occurs with the latest git of mesa, libdrm, drm, and xorg-server. This also occurs with mesa 6.5.3, 6.5.2, and the radeon drm module in the linux kernel 2.6.21, and xorg-server 1.2, and libdrm 2.3

It sounds like this problem may have been fixed by mesa/drm commit c3d463840c902a28221f1514bfb69fb7905a05c2. There's also been changes to Mesa that make lockups less likely.

Could you please retest with latest Mesa/Git/X and report back?

Mass version move, cvs -> git
