Comment 1 Sebastien Bacher 2007-10-01 07:54:00 UTC
There is a similar crash on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/147197 using poppler 0.6 and GNOME 2.20.0
Comment 2 Carlos Garcia Campos 2007-10-01 09:00:02 UTC
Could you please attach here a copy of the pdf document causing this crash?
Comment 3 Brad Hards 2007-11-30 18:49:45 UTC
Without a copy of a document that causes the crash, this is probably not going to be fixed.
Comment 4 Nicholas Miell 2008-01-23 09:56:43 UTC
"PDF Reference and Related Documentation (PDF, 15.3M) (Updated on Oct. 23, 2007 with revised errata)" located at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/pdf_reference.pdf is one such document.

Open it multiple times, sometimes it crashes immediately, sometimes it opens but gives errors when attempting to open the attachments, sometimes it opens and opening the attachments succeeds.

evince 2.20.2, poppler 0.6.2
Comment 5 Nicholas Miell 2008-01-23 10:07:31 UTC
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415714 seems to be the Evince clearinghouse for this bug, you may be able to find other PDFs that also cause this crash amongst the hundreds of reports.
Comment 6 Albert Astals Cid 2009-06-17 12:10:07 UTC
Could you try this with a newer poppler?

Also don't think it's a splash bug.
Comment 7 Albert Astals Cid 2011-06-19 15:00:51 UTC
No Answer and no document -> no bug
