Description Berg 2019-04-05 14:31:33 UTC
Sorry for my bad english
Arch linux (or Manjaro, or Opensuse - never mind, as it turned out)
AMD R7 240 + amdgpu (vulkan is needed)
LLVM 7 or 8

With mesa 19.0.0 (1) and R7 240 + amdgpu (kernel on amdgpu.si_support=1) follows a DEEPEST freeze of the system. Reset button helps only. On a mesa 18.x.x and (what's incomprehensible) on mesa 19.1-devel from git - all is OK. This week was tested on several distributions (arch, manjaro, opensuse tumbleweed, etc) - the same everywhere. Rollback to 18.x.x - everything is ok. Rise to 19.1.devel (oibaf, padoka, mesa-git as arch unofficial repo) - everything is ok too. Revert to 19.0.0 or 19.0.1 - deep freeze of system almost immediately after installation (it can work normally from a minute to 10 minutes, after which the system hangs and KDE starts only without graphic effects (or need switch to radeon driver)

A propos!
Kernel version does not matter - it was tested on kernels from 4.18 to 5.0.5
