Could you include also glxinfo, xdpyinfo output? Created attachment 145099 [details] artefacts lines in kate I using "intel" Xorg driver at present time because modesetting driver has artefacts on kde5. Artefacts is like lines on konsole app or kate, blinking on gwenview and other.
