Setting (not just querying) the dimensions of the graphics with xrandr and latest randr-1.2 branch and latest mesa/drm causes a hang. git bisect points at:

I have no secondary monitor attached. I use the built-in panel of my Dell Inspiron 8200.

See 11169 for why I need to use xrandr and 3483 for why I'd like to be able to run without vblank interrupts.

No longer a problem. I have new hardware, and I bet the bug is fixed ages ago.
