x config? Could you test with latest git tree? (In reply to comment #1) > x config? > > Could you test with latest git tree? > Hi Eric! what do You mean whit git tree? , the last version of Xorg , could , You please link , where is the latest. Thanks for Your help "latest git tree" means xf86-video-intel driver git tip, which is listed at http://intellinuxgraphics.org/download.html. Please attach xorg.conf. I have the same issue: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 02) on an Acer TravelMate 6004LMi. I have tested with latest git, the bug is still there. I cannot say for sure, as the bug does not always occur, but it seems to me that it could be related to start some XV output at least once in the session. Created attachment 11574 [details]
xorg.log with lockup
Created attachment 11575 [details]
xorg.conf
The
Option "AccelMethod"
does not change anything, the bug occurs with and without this line
*** Bug 12393 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I've got this problem too, I'm using a Gentoo stable system. I'd like to point you to this Gentoo forum thread: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-607184-highlight-xf86videoi810.html Apparently this is a common problem. The [855GM] in the summary came from bug #12393, which is marked as resolved because it's a duplicate of this bug. That bug occurs for me on an 855GME. Thanks. Nian, is this something you can reproduce on your 9xx machines? I think it might be a duplicate of the "crash after Xv" problem, so if you can't reproduce it, please close. Thanks, Jesse Now we can exit or kill X successfully. Do not see this bug. I'm not sure whether this bug is actually a duplicate of bug #12393, but I still see bug #12393 as of today (git commit 4a2b0f340357c4ca58dc9586fad1337b83966362). Heavy disk load seems to help reproduce it. Cheers. |
