The driver needs to be adapated to the pci-rework changes merged to the xserver master branch recently. Meanwhile, you may want to try the xserver server-1.4-branch. I'm compiling mesa-git/xorg-git/ati-git and I've been unable to come past a certain point. I've located pciaccess.h and did an include to my stable xserver for it, but it didn't fix the pciVideoPtr errors and such.
