I confirm this as well on my Slackware-current box (just updated with X.org 7.3 from 7.2 where everything was ok). Furthermore, I've lost my extra mouse buttons (6 and 7, which I use for ZAxisMapping). They don't work any more. My configuration is: Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Buttons" "7" Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7" Then I have this in my .xprofile: xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 8 9 4 5 6 7 10 11" And use imwheel for binding various stuff on buttons 6 and 7 (remapped). These "techniques" no longer work. And as the reporter says, the mousewheel works for the desktop applications, but not for the games. I accidentally loaded the psmouse kernel module with proto=imps option instead of proto=exps. The problem for the mousewheel in the games remains, though. Is this still an issue for you with xserver 1.9? Peter Hutter mentioned in another bug that he recently fixed some DGA bugs. I don't know about version 1.9 though since I'm using 1.7.7 (debian unstable). (In reply to comment #4) > (In reply to comment #3) > > Is this still an issue for you with xserver 1.9? I don't know about version 1.9 > though since I'm using 1.7.7 (debian unstable). Thanks for the fast response. I'll assume that this is still fixed in 1.9 then, since I doubt we would have broken something twice. |
