Can you attach your X log and xorg.conf from when the crash occurred? What server version are you using? Console FB is broken than - I use in kernel intel accelerated FB. As you can see dmesg I just plugged DVB card, started playing and show/hide kaffeine window. What's your exact steps for "switching windows from MPlayer fullscreen to other desktop apps"? Any short-cut key used? I'm doing below successfully: 1. run Mplayer in fullscreen mode. 2. change full screen mode to normal screen mode. 3. switch to other apps. Hi, it is not everytime action.. Just run kaffeine at backend, editing documents in openoffice or surfing web in konqueror and after switch to kaffeine from panel Xorg dies. It is not everytime action, but give it a try and it will die you will see.
