in an easily parsable flat text file, like globs and magic, so that xdgmime can

We probably need to store the transitive hull of the subclass+alias relation.

Is that subclasses file described in the mime spec?

If you look carefully, you'll notice that the patch also modifies
shard-mime-info-spec.xml to mention subclasses.
