It's the default file type for Audacity (the audio editor)
Therefore I think it should be placed in category "audio"

Can anything but Audacity open it? If not, then please make sure Audacity includes this file. Otherwise please provide a patch against shared-mime-info, as well as a test file to add to the test suite.

Small note: Audacity already ships an audacity.xml with the "application/x-audacity-project" mimetype.

As only audacity can open its own files, and it already installs the necessary mime-types, closing.
