Description any5867@example.org 2007-11-21 12:12:54 UTC
Xorg comes up with DRI disabled. The relevant section from Xorg.log seems to be:

(**) intel(0): Framebuffer compression disabled
(**) intel(0): Tiling enabled
(II) intel(0): Attempting memory allocation with tiled buffers.
(WW) intel(0): Failed to allocate texture space.
(II) intel(0): Attempting memory allocation with untiled buffers.
(WW) intel(0): Failed to allocate texture space.
(WW) intel(0): Not enough video memory. Disabling DRI.

I have tried AGP apertures of 64, 128 and 256M in the BIOS with the same results. The system has 512M RAM. The driver ignores the VideoRam option and I have not found another way of hard-wiring the amount of video memory. DRI used to work on the i810 driver.

FWIW, here's the output of lspci:

Hi,

Freedesktop's Bugzilla instance is EOLed and open bugs are about to be migrated to http://gitlab.freedesktop.org.

To avoid migrating out of date bugs, I am now closing all the bugs that did not see any activity in the past year. If the issue is still happening, please create a new bug in the relevant project at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm (use misc by default).

Sorry about the noise!
