I should add that this is on an i915 in a Thinkpad R52. It seems that the retrace signals are generated properly--the external LCD knows what the resolution and refresh rate are supposed to be--there are just no pixels shown. Note that the bug occurs only sporadically--sometimes it takes an hour for it to show, sometimes only a few minutes. could you try to turn off framebuffer compression and retest? I'm asking because it might be a dup of bug# 13418... a log file with "modedebug" option turn on will also be helpful.. thanks. This hasn't happened in a while, consider it fixed for now. |
