Description Philipp Kern 2007-12-12 08:36:54 UTC
radeonhd (git) correctly detects the LCD's native mode and sets it:

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1680 x 1050, maximum 1680 x 1680
VGA_1 disconnected
PANEL connected 1680x1050+0+0 331mm x 207mm
   1680x1050 60.1*+
TV_SVIDEO disconnected
DVI-D_1 disconnected

However, especially for presentations, it's somewhat helpful when one's able to set it to a non-widescreen resolution. This works with fglrx, but not (yet) with radeonhd.

This will only be fixed when we offer support for the scaler. Not before, and not really a bug.
Comment 2 Adam Jackson 2008-02-24 18:22:42 UTC
Mass reopen. The "LATER" resolution is lame, I'm deleting it. Consider LATER to have arrived.
