Duplicate this by: 1. have a terminal open. 2. Run mplayer in that terminal 3. Overlap the mplayer output window over the terminal. The 'status' line in the terminal will cause a section of the output window not to update. I cannot reproduce this with xcompmgr -a (Oct 2005), Xorg 7.0RC1 and mplayer running with a konsole terminal window open playing an avi and layered on top of the term window. This is being reproduced with a Radeon 9600 Mobile card. If you can still reproduce this with newer Xorg and video drivers, please reopen. Shawn, can you try again with xcompmgr -c? I have the same problem, but it doesn't show up with -a. This is with Xorg 6.9, I would be interested if it's gone in 7.0. |
