Description Daniel Stone 2007-12-19 03:51:23 UTC
I don't have anything incisive to add here. I was just browsing around with Firefox and reading mail (so, heavy Render use), and the GPU fell down a well. This was with 6f92200; I've upgraded now.

It's not reproducible (never seen it happen before), so if the ring contents aren't useful, just axe the bug, I guess.

And again with f69b48fe ... same usecase. Tabbing between gnome-terminal, Pidgin, and Iceweasel.

This happens roughly once a week. Is there anything I can do to help track it down?
Comment 6 Wang Zhenyu 2008-03-19 02:03:37 UTC
Daniel, could you try current master?
Comment 7 Daniel Stone 2008-04-06 12:13:48 UTC
Hasn't occurred for me in quite a while now.
Comment 8 Daniel Stone 2008-08-30 20:35:52 UTC
I'm still seeing this intermittently with drm/xf86-video-intel/xserver master as of last week: cf. attachments.

So once a week? That's fairly reliable then. Does it happen if you disable render accel by setting ExaNoComposite to true? Do you think it might be 3D related? Given that we have several 945 issues like this open, I guess I'll have to troll through the 945 docs looking for anything we might be doing wrong...
