Description Stefan Ott 2007-12-20 13:24:09 UTC
On a dual-monitor setup (both DVI), I get weird, fast moving distortions (looks like green pixels running horizontally across my screen). This only seems to happen when I have a dark window (eg. a terminal) with bright areas (eg. a blue desktop background) visible on the left side of the window (the right side doesn't matter). The bigger the visible non-dark area is, the more distortions I get.

As mentioned above, this only happens on one of my screens (DVI-I_1/digital), the other one (DVI-I_2/digital) works perfectly. I also power-cycled the machine to make sure there are no fglrx leftovers.

I'm using a club3d x1950Pro on debian testing, btw.

Does this issue occur with the preferred ati driver (xf86-vide-ati)? If so, please move this to the Driver/Radeon component.

Development of radeonhd has pretty much halted and development focus is on the ati driver. Please see http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd

If the issue does not exist in the ati driver (or if there is no response to this message), this bug will be closed as WONTFIX unless someone contributes a patch.

Closing due to lack of response. Please reopen and move to the Driver/Radeon
component if this issue persists with xf86-video-ati
