You might wanna try the noDDC option as explained at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-amd/+bug/195846 Does this bug still apply to Geode 2.11.9 or not? Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases. |

Created attachment 14978 [details] The driver, compiled for Debian Etch/ X.org 7.1 Hello!! I have a problem, probably a bug, using AMD Geode X.org Driver v.2.7.7.6 on X.org Server v1.1 (X.org 7.1), Debian Etch (stable) 32bits. I have a A830 motherboard, with AMD GeodeLX-based 5536 Chipset and GeodeGX processor (so GX processor on LX board, but works fine). I have included a website where the board and all the embedded computer is. The board has a 800x600 CRT panel attached to the Motherboard. Everything works fine with vesa driver. The problem is that when I configure xorg.conf with AMD driver: [...] Driver "amd" [...] And I try to start X.org, using xinit, I get the following error message: (EE) AMD(0): No valid modes were found (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. What's wrong with it?? I suspect that it does not detect the Display properly. I have posted a message also to the Forum.
